Today, we’re excited to introduce a new feature that lets you set different prices for different countries, all in one project.

This means you can say goodbye to the challenges of managing multiple stores and duplicated products.

As you expand across borders and reach new customers, this update is designed to make your life simpler and easier.

Check out what makes this update special below.

What's new 👀

You can now define custom product prices for individual countries. This means you can adapt your pricing strategy for local markets without the hassle of managing multiple store environments.

Whether you’re offering subscriptions to customers in Germany, the United Kingdom, or anywhere else, you can now adjust your pricing accordingly.

What are the benefits? 🤔

  • Greater flexibility: Instead of duplicating products or creating multiple stores to handle different price points, you can do everything from one Firmhouse environment.
  • Localized pricing: Set prices that make sense for your international customers, taking into account factors like local taxes, market demand, or purchasing power.
  • Less admin work: By simplifying how you manage pricing, you’ll save time and reduce the potential for errors.
  • API-friendly: If you're a developer, we’ve extended our API to help you manage these new pricing options effortlessly.

How it works ⚒️

This feature allows you to assign different prices for each country where your products are available. Once activated, a “Country specific prices” option will show up in the pricing section of your products.

For example, you can set one price for customers in Germany and another for customers in the United Kingdom—tailoring your pricing based on each market's conditions.

If your customers haven’t chosen a country, we’ve got you covered. We use GeoIP to automatically detect their location and apply the appropriate pricing.

What is the setup process? 🔨

  1. Get in touch: Since this feature is available by request for Pro and Enterprise customers, the first step is to reach out to us via the Intercom bubble in the bottom-right corner of your screen. Once the feature is activated for your account, you’ll see a new option to add Country specific prices within your product settings.
  2. Enable the countries: In the Subscription model settings of your Firmhouse project, you can enable all the countries where you want to sell.
  3. Add country-specific prices: Simply click on Add new price, select the country, and enter the amount. You can set prices for each of the enabled countries, or only those that are different from the default price of the product.

You can also manage this via our API if you're comfortable with coding, by adding or updating prices using the country code and price in cents.

Things to keep in mind 🧠

  • Order-based subscriptions only: This feature currently only supports order-based subscriptions. Plans or Plan-based subscriptions will follow at a later date.
  • Compatibility limitations: This functionality is not yet compatible with our Minimum Order threshold or Advanced discount rules for minimum and maximum order amounts. We’re working on rolling out multi-currency support to address this in the future.
  • GeoIP detection: If your customer doesn’t select a country during checkout, we’ll auto-detect their location and apply the right pricing for them.

Our goal with this feature is simple: to give you the flexibility you need to operate in multiple countries and currencies without making things more complicated.

By enabling country-specific pricing, we’re helping you meet your customers where they are at, while keeping things smooth and streamlined on your end.
